my girlfreind and i have just come back from 2nd u/s and the results were that the 8 week foetus was measuring 6weeks and there was a slow heartbeat, any advice?

My son's heartbeat was low around that time, tell her to talk to her OB and he miht prescribe some suppositories to increase that. I did and his heartbeat was up within a week. there;s nothing to worry about. congrats!!

Just hang in there things can change for the BETTER in just a few weeks. Have a look on this website it might have some helpful info for the two of you's. It does have a lot of info on this website.

The baby could possibly be having a hard time developing. Unfortunately, sometimes this results in a miscarriage-ONLY because the baby was unable to survive. HOWEVER, not to scare, if the doctor said it was fine, I wouldn't be worried. Don't stress and relax.

im 17 weeks and had to have two scans already to check my babys growing as the fluid surrounding baby is low. Ive another one next week now. It is a worry what have the nurses/midwifes said. It should be fine it could change at anytime they have told me.

Some people think a slow heartbeat means a boy. I think it's a crock.

My baby has a slow heartbeat! Doc says its fine tho! and he is a boy! congrats to u and ur girlfriend! xx

Don't panic, it could mean that your not as far along as you or the dr thought.The slow heart rate could just mean it was relaxing or sleeping.
I hope that your baby and g-friend is OK.
