When it comes to Antivirus there is definite answer more than 200 thousand definition files in its bag, best herustic scanner , and least memory usage ( from latest version onwards ) is Kaspersky 6

"Best" is a very opinionated answer. Each of us who has used an antivirus program for any period of time feels theirs is the best. I've used Avast for 3+ years and have not had a virus get to my computer in all that time.

AVG is also very good.

Both of these are free, which goes to show you that money is not the "best" criteria for using a piece of software. Overall performance is the only criteria I use.
