I thought rascism or bigotry would work either way.

Or is it hating oneself because of that persons particular race?

I agree with you, bigotry does work either way; it's discrimination, regardless of who exercises the prejudice.

I was uncertain about a few things and decided to do a little research on the term. Reverse racism (or reverse discrimination) concerns discriminatory attitudes, policies or behaviors that benefit a historically sociopolitically non-dominant group (typically minorities), rather than the historically sociopolitically dominant group (the majority).
Affirmative action which often gives preference to members of particular social groups is sometimes perceived as a form of reverse racism.

Reverse racism may involve the projection of racial bias onto an individual's behavior which does not pertain to their own race. A person saying for instance that a white man who speaks and dresses like an African American rapper is acting 'black', is an example of reverse racism. It does not show racial bias towards the person in question, but perpetuates racial roles with the ideology that races are expected to act or dress in particular ways.

Another example is the assumption that one or both members of an interracial couple have a race fetish for their partner's race, rather than assuming that the relationship is based on other factors, such as love. This is reverse racism due to the projection of a possibly false racial bias onto another person.

Hope this helps. The source link provides more detail on the subject.

Technically, there is no such thing; for, you see, racism is prejudice toward ANY race, including a dominant one.
With that out of the way...
"Reverse-racism" ; is a term for racism directed toward the majority or dominant "race" in a society; usually, it is an accidental byproduct of an attempt to protect an oppressed minority from racism.

reverse racism is the following of racism by people who were previously victims of racism. for example, recently an Indian woman was treated with racist remarks in UK, If this happens in India against UK people then it is reverse racism.

I think I am right, If I am not please correct me. It will not be racism at all, since I am from India

Usually in the old days (not as much now) whites hated on blacks. Reverse rascism is where blacks hate in whites.
