Yes, from my experience a big YES!!
my brother is a Taurus and he has sooooooo many female friends he cant get enough of the opposite sex.

I am a Taurus Female and I have more male friends then female
And they have been my friends for over 30 years
So I guess it would be the same for males lol

I've dated a lot of Taurus's in my day. I say they do have a lot of girls as friends because they are usually the "cool" guy and are bull headed. So if your not happy with the "friends" he won't care, he will still keep them as friends.
