I suppose their life would turn to poo and they would come out of prison to nothing.

If he still has any money left after restitution and fines and lawyers fees, he can appoint someone. Unless its a very short term, his mortgage and utility bills are not much of a point since he is not renting his cell and the utilities there are free. And they don't take credit cards at the prison either. Yessir, jail sure simplifies the bills.

The bills mount up until the relevant companies foreclose and the bailiffs come round to take items the value of the owed amount.
If you get sent to prison the tough luck for you!
When you get out you will find most of your possessions have been seized.

Yes. To start, you are seeking answers from the general public, most of whom are not Christians. How would they be able to help you? Prayer is not a magic wand you can wave at God and expect presents to drop out of heaven. It is a gift that God gave His people. His people are the ones keeping His commandments and living as He asked them to live. The only prayer He will listen to from one who is not one of His dedicated servants is a prayer asking Him to help you find the truth so that you can alter your life to live by it. If this is what you want, then by all means - "Ask and you will receive." The panic attacks may well be Satan trying to stop you from becoming one of God's people. Everyone who tries to become a Christian is attacked. Don't be afraid. When he sees that he cannot succeed, he will give up - for the moment.

My, oh my... we do have a surfeit of moralistic non-answers for this straight-forward question, don't we?!
However, you don't say in which country... Or for how long... Makes answering the question a bit difficult, so you'll have to be satisified with a vague answer: in the UK Housing benefit is paid for anyone whose sentence is less than 13 weeks, but you won't get any assistance for mortgage re-payments. Other than that you'll have to agree something with the companies involved and see if there's a social worker (if your country has them...) that can help with arrangements if the gavel falls too quickly for you to do it yourself.

I was in the nik once, nine months I got for kicking the crap out of a copper. But that was then and I'm not the little prat I was any more. Prison in my case gave me a great big kick up the **** and time to think, now I'm a husband, home owner and father of three. The answer to your question, I think, would be this.
If you dont be silly and end up in there you wont have to worry about it.,,,,,,,,,makes sence,,,does'nt it.

if they are in prison, they wouldnt have any mortage, rent, or utility bills.
they can still receive mail, so they could manage any finances that way. or they could sign a document to have someone else do it for them.

It's just to bad...if they would have behaved themselves, they wouldn't have a problem. It's just part of the price of going to jail. Something else they will have to put back together when they get out!

Good question. Many many innocent people are sent to jail everyday. If they have no family or family depended on them for support, they probably lose everything. What a disgrace so some prosecutor somewhere can make a name for themselves.
