1.Give the five main characteristics for sewing tools.2. Give three examples for each classification.

I sew just for fun. But I think tools could be classified into groups such as:

1 measuring--tape measure, yardstick
2 cutting--scissors, rolling blade
3 marking--chalk
4 stitching--needles
5 finishing--iron etc., etc.

I'm not sure under what classification all of the things in your sewing basket would fall. For instance, would the pins go under marking because you pin the pattern on to mark it? But I think that this is the idea that your assignment is looking for. Look in your book and see if your tools are classified this way.
