my wife owns a big company in our town and has some really wealthy clients whith whom she likes to hob nob with and attend thier parties, while at a party recently these wealthy people stated talking about blacks and were using the n..... word alot which really made me feel unconfortable, and she was right in there with the conversation, when we got home i mentioned it, saying i couldnt believe how they were talking, she said she didnt hear that at all,, what am i to think about this??? thanks

You want my honest answer? Sometimes when money is on the cards you start to ignore things like name calling, bitchiness, yadda yadda yadda.
If you do not feel comfortable in these environments (I've been to business do's I really didn't like the karma of) then I'd suggest you avoid them and tell your wife its up to her to do whatever she feels is acceptable as shes the owner of the business. My other half isn't a business person by nature and often lets me get on with things the way I want. I'm married to him and my commitment to him is kinda different to my business.
If you feel uncomfortable and start acting strange (for whatever reason....) the others at the party may start asking annoying questions and it may put your wife into a difficult situation around her clients.

My friend Please don't get hung up with the word.
. I am sure you know your wife better than anyone on the planet so go with that. It sounds as if your wife, even though she might disagree with the word usage is in fact a women in business. Stick by your wife and talk to her about the incident and get her opinion. She probably will tell you that to own a company is tough enough let alone being a women and owning a company.
Unfortunately in our own little circles of life we hear and see people do things that aren't always correct. That my friend is life.

they are snobs, i am jewish and get things thrown at me every day. its not right. and next time they say that. go up there and stand up for your self. and trust god will help you and give you curage :]
