Can you put sprint phone service on vacation?

The flip part of my sprint phone is completely broken off. Right now I cannot fix it or buy a new phone if it is not fixable. I do not want to cancel my contract. Is there a way to put it on vacation like a regular telephone line? If you do that, is there a penalty?

to my knowledge sprint does not offer that BUT if u have insurance u can definately just pay i believe $50 to get a new phone. If you do not have insurance then you can get insurance wait two weeks then get a new phone. but i do know that if your earpiece part of the phone is on the bottom half the phone will still work completely normal without a screen..dont ask how i found that out. lol
