That the contestants on American Idol(Especially at the beginning of the season), the ones that obviously are really bad, kind of um delusional?

Yes, very delusional. I don't understand why family and friends just do not come out and tell their loved one "Hey you can't sing, don't bother"

delusional is the right word. they have been told by a few loved ones that they sing well so they go on he show thinking they can beat people who have had lessons and are much better

Definitely! They don't realize they can't sing because they can't hear themselves. It's kind of like when you hear your voice on your own voicemail message and you hate the way it sounds.

Very and they are a waste of time... I miss seeing the singers who can actually sing!
