my actual question is how long should it be from when you can first barely see/feel them, until they are completely grown in and visible?

This varies from baby to baby. It could be a few days to a few weeks.

My daughter's very first 2 teeth are just now all the way in and she got them when she was 4 months. So I would say about 5 or 6 months. It really depends on each individual child and the size of their teeth.

Our sons first tooth finally broke through when he was almost 7 months old. They are VERY slow coming in and it wasn't until he was about 2 1/2 that the first tooth was finally all the way down.
It all depends on your child and their own personal rate of growth.
