I think Arenas will do it. However, Arenas is a team player, on any given night, his running mates Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison can score high. Bryant on the other hand, has no idea what a team is, and thinks it's all about himself. And you know what's even more ridiculous? Is that Bryant goes in against struggling teams then still gets hailed as a hero. Last night for example against the Celtics. Big deal...news flash: the Celtics were already on a 12 game losing streak, so why the hell does Kobe still get so much recognition for beating a downtrodden team like that? It's a twisted world. But sometime in his career, Gilbert Arenas will score in the 80's...mark my words.

what are you talking about Nowitzki fan? Gilbert on a 1 man team...your on crack. Caron and Jamison are 20+ ppg and good for 8 boards each. Lebron has larry hughes, the 7 footer i cant spell, donyell marshall. Kobe is an amazing player, 81 points is a tremendous achievment. Lebron is overrated, he can't even make buzzer beats constantly and he bites his nails in tough moments. I can't say anything about Gilbert because he is a nice guy, but all I can say he is not on a 1 man team...you fool

Even Mike J did not crack the 70 mark. I am going with neither. Kobe is a special talent with UNMATCHED ability to get his own shot and that in the gym range. I can see all of those players getting into the 50s several times and maybe 60 a few times but 80.

i will say gilbert areanas or lebron james becasue d-wade or dirk nowitzki are not the kind of guy that will shoot alot to even score that much i can see that happening by lebron or areanas becasue they are on a 1 man team they will shoot the ball alot more than anyone else on their team.

maybe combined.

they are all capable, but they are not selfish like Kobe and they all have better supporting casts. The one who might try to would be Arenas because he seems to have a little selfishness (see comment about how he would do if he could play against Duke).

I think both of them are capable of such numbers but Kobe's feat was completely amazing. It's hard to predict the future, but if I were a betting man, I would say "no." I think Kobe's night was a once-in-a-lifetime deal.

Only Kobe could do it these days, seeing as everyone believes in the "team" concept other than him.
