Seriously, her middle name is Rowan.
Do you think she'll find that disturbing when she gets older? (she's 6 months now)

It's cute. What's her first name?
Call her Bean. It sounds like a really cute nickname, and she'd never know where it came from - unless you tell her! Plus, you could play on that forever. Like Jelly bean, (when she's being sweet) Green Bean (if she's just recieved a beautiful green dress) string bean, (if she's skinny) or whatever you feel like. lol
And another odd one, when she's old enough to have bf's, call them Bean dip! lmao!

;o)

Why on earth would you be worried about her middle name being Rowan?! I think its a beautiful name in fact it should've been her first!! My son's first name is Ronan. I can tell you he has had alot more people state what a lovely name it is rather than where did that come from?! Instead of worrying about the name be proud that you picked an unusual second name for her be positive and shrug off any rude people you may come across. She will then grow up be positive about her middle name just as you should be. It worked for my son! His late nan and grandad were Irish suits him fine. "The unusual names are always better than the 'boring common ones'. " His words, not mine!

Plants normally form girl's names so it is rather unusual to find Rowan used as a man's name. With the Archbishop of Canterbury as another famous Rowan, your daughter will be able to invent an interesting story to explain her name, should she wish to.

Rowan is a good name. The fact that you named her after that goof is the disturbing part.

Didn't Brooke Shields name her baby girl Rowan?

Heck no! I named my imaginary daughter Monty Python, and her sister is Flying Circus...
Who cares if people don't like it, nobody knows your middle name anyway! I was a co-worker for 20 years with some people and never knew their middle name...
Your name ROCKS! Enjoy, she won't mind at all.
