I got married in 1981 in Mexico I was 16, I never got divorced we never thought about it. Mostly cause we never filed it here, but someone said you dont have to it is reconized automatically. He married in US in like the late 80's, I married someone in 90. Our we still married? Are our current marriages not legal? How does that work?

Yep you both are technically married and recognized in Mexico, which means it's recognized here.

The good news is if he is married and you are then it's less likely that either one of you will file bigamy charges against the other.

It depends on whether it was a ciil ceremony, or just a religious one. The civil ceremony IS recognized as a legal marriage...the religious ceremony is NOT.
"A civil marriage contracted in Mexico is legally valid in the United States and just about any place else, provided it doesn't contravene public policy".

I would consult a lawyer....it's not like either one of you would contest an anullment...then you could use it as an excuse to renew your wedding vows with your husband!
Good luck!!
