Most certainly we can view our life as something very special, all circumstance, situations and things both good and bad that come our way are significant and require our special attention, and very personal response. Surely, we can celebrate each and everything in our life, the question is: why not?
But all things that make up our life are not all we hope for, wish for, or expect within the private recesses of our thoughts to be in our life. This could be true that we do not have full control upon the general flow of events; things can be good and things can also be bad. But we can look at all things the way we choose. Could it be that the unpleasant things are in fact a prelude to something good, and our sorrow is in fact to make us realise happiness? Is this highly paradoxical, or just a simple truth that we would not be happy at all, if we were happy all the time!
We learn that celebrations are for good and happy occasions; this is easy to understand, and still easier to practice. When we are exuberant, joyful and victorious, we know how to celebrate; we party and make everything look bigger and brighter. But failure to celebrate our sorrows can bring only more troubles upon us.
Life may not be bright and sunny all the time, but we can still celebrate all of it. There are times when we need to be different than usual, when we need to be with ourselves in special ways, in times when things are not so great we can still be great like a loyal friend to ourselves who would never let us be sad and lonely. We can celebrate our sorrows and grievances all, the sombre moments of the passing of our life when we need to maintain composure, self-respect and humility, the moments we need to celebrate with patience, forbearance and dignity.
There are defeats more triumphant than victories – Michel de Montaigne

I've only now begun to realize that my life has been all about this predetermined schedule. I've been so focused on everything that I "have to do" to reach "my" ultimate goal, that I don't just slow down sometimes and take the time to enjoy the ride. This is my life. I only get one. That doesn't sink in sometimes, but I'm trying to be better about that!
Good question by the way :)

I would love to go out there and shake this big old world by the hand and congratulate it for being so cool. Slight problem that I'm completely penniless, morbidly depressed and stuck in a stupid country that makes it's own people miserable and does very little to help all the other poor souls who've got it so bad us cozy little computer owning folks couldn't even imagine!!

Not yet!!! Some days I can barely get through the day and some days are happier. I do celebrate God and Jesus Christ on a daily basis.
My circumstances in this life are not worthy of being celebrated!

I always try my best to celebrate life. I thinks it's a bad move to consider others in relation to this. Since one does not live somebody elses life one cannot properly relate to it or celebrate it.
Be selfish in your own mind's eye - It's the only way to be truly happy - Meditate man!

Well, from looking into the past , everything looks worthy of a celebration, ..... so, looks like it is worth attempting to celebrate 'life' in totality, as it happens !

Life is short indeed. I have only recently begun trying to celebrate life instead of anticipating death.

I'm celebrating life as full as I can at the moment. When I can be with my Sweet Mistress, life will be even better.
