If your marriage is headed for divorce, then NO don't tell any secrets. If it is not and this was just a question, then it depends on the secret. If it is something that she could possibly find out anyway, then you need to tell her. If it is highly unlikely that she will ever find out, then DON'T tell her, especially if the event was far past. If you're not sure if she will find out, then...be....thinking of...a really good excuse...for if she does find out...

Nothing is more hurtful to a spouse than discovering that their husband is deceiving them. Whether it be about small insignificant things or big life changing things, it's not about the subject, it's about the fact that they lied or kept secrets. I'm speaking from experience. Finding out my husband was keeping secrets from me almost ended our marriage. Marriage is built on trust, honesty, and communication, and if you break that, you are risking losing it all. You shouldn't be thinking about what would happen if you divorce, you should be thinking of every possible way to prevent divorce. Please do the right thing and tell her the truth.

As long as it's no big deal, I would suggest that you keep it to yourself. If it is something that will never effect her, there's no point in opening a can of worms. If it is serious, I would suggest that you tell her soon. She is your wife and if you feel that you can't tell her, then you must have married her for the wrong reasons.

I think it all depends on how bitter the divorce is. Not all women are blabbermouths, but most of us are. So, use your own judgment. But I don't recommend hiding things from her, that will just get you into the doghouse!

Why would you marry someone you don't trust with your inner-most secrets and failings anyway? Nah - why have a trusting, loving, honest relationship when shallow and fake are what's hot?!

People should never tell secrets. You never know who told what and if it'll be used against you.

Successful marriage are built on trust. Do you trust her to keep your secrets? Do you trust her to stay with you until death do you part? If not, you need to figure out why you don't trust her and what you can do to build that trust.
