I have a question about the pill provera....its the pill that helps to induce your menstrual cycle.
Okay so if u take it for 10 days and get your period....2 weeks after that period will i ovulate...or better yet COULD I ovulate???]
SInce Its not really my TRUE period....and its a pill to trick my system into thinkin that it is....will I have to wait to ovulate until my "true" period comes on its own????

Please help.....I am trying to conceive and my cycle is going crazy on me.....I have been consistent every month for 3 years then all of a sudden I skip a month???? I am NOT pregnant I already went to the doc....HELP!

I've taken provera many times in the past to induce a period. When you bleed after the provera it is called a withdrawl bleed and you are correct--it's not a true period. If your cycles are generally regular then ovulation should happen on its own but not necessisarily 2 weeks after the provera. Ovulation happens about 2 weeks before your next period starts. Try charting basal body temps to figure out exactly when and if you ovulate after the provera.

Believe it or not, but the Provera WILL induce your true period.

In a regular cycle, it's the rapid drop in progesterone that triggers menstruation. The provera builds up the progesterone in your system, and then BAM all of a sudden you stop taking it and your period starts. So YES! You most certainly can ovulate the usual 14 days (or however long it is for you) after the first day of your AF!

Good luck!
