Trex decking material is generally considered the best composite decking material around. There are a number of other knock offs, but Trex gives you a lot of options, and it is very easy to work with.

Tow of the better known brands are Choice Deck and Trex. Choice Deck has a thick natural appearance and very good rigidity, with allowable spans up to 4 ft. . If the end is exposed the extrusion shape will be visible.
Trex is thinner, more flexible, lighter, and has improved its appearance with recent products. Trex appears to contain more plastic material which could make it hotter underfoot
Both perform about the same. It's really a matter of preference

Be careful...in climates such as here in Texas when it's 110 degrees ouside you will have one droopy deck.
Check out ipe (pronounced ee-pay) It is a cousin of mahogany and makes a deck that looks like furniture. Lasts for a long, long time.

no such thing. It is a unique idea, but five years is not a long time for a product to be prov-en to be worth the cost
