the simple cell has been found to have thousends of smaller cells in the "single cell". so how could we come from a single cell if the single cell has thousends of other cells each within another? infact its like pie. the number never stops. so if we cam from single cells wear did these other cells come from that are in a single cell? wear did space come from? how can dust make an earth by gravitational pull, when yet we would be having countinuing bangs and such. how is evalution possible? EXCUSE MY SPELLING!

israelirussian and cause4joy, I would love to answer this question, but please ask one at a time. This question asks about evolution, cellular biology, atomic theory, the origins of space, the formation of the earth by gravitational pull, and either astonomical collisions or the Big Bang (it's hard to tell) ... all at once! It is impossible to explain all of these in the context of a Yahoo Answers post, much less "prove" them to you.

In short, you are asking so many questions, it's hard to tell what you *do* know about science.

The first thing I can say is that, right from the second word of your question ... the word "prove" ... you illustrate that you have some deep-seated misunderstandings about science. You "prove" things in mathematics. You DON'T "prove" things in science.

In science, instead of "proof" we talk about "evidence."

The second thing you have to learn about is what "evolution" means. It has nothing to do with where space came from, or how the earth formed from dust by gravitational pull, or about "bangs." Those are questions of astrophysics. Evolution is about biology only.

The third thing is the word "cell." Cells are not made up of other cells. There are organelles (like the mitochondria) that have their own DNA, and therefore scientists believe these may once have been their own cells ... but that's as far as it goes as far as smaller "cells" ... there is not an infinite regression of cells within cells. Perhaps you are confusing "cells" with "molecules" and "atoms", but these are all very different issues.

In other words, it's clear from your question (and I'm not talking about your spelling ... that's irrelevant), that you are just *starting* to learn about science. That is great! I am not trying to put you down at all.

But please, please, please learn a bit more about the very BASICS of science ... like the difference between "proof" and "evidence" ... or between "cells" and "molecules" ... and between biology and astrophysics ... before challenging people to "prove" things to you. Otherwise, it's an impossible question only because we don't know what you already do understand, and thus where to start.

Aside from mitochondria, I'm not sure what you mean by cells within other cells. There are no cells within other cells.

Multicellular organisms evolved from single cell organism colonies probably a few billion years ago. There are no fossils, but the evidence is clear. All life on Earth is related genetically, from the smallest paramecium to oak trees to humans.

Genetic mapping shows this very clearly as humans, for example, share a good portion of their DNA with yeasts.

Aside from that, your entire statement above displays an appalling lack of scientific literacy so I doubt whether anything anyone here writes will mean a lick to you.

The "smaller cells" in the single cell are mitochondria, and in plants also chloroplasts. They are actually not cells, but organelles of the cell, but it's right that they have a lot in common with cells, they are actually some kind of "reduced version" of cells and it is an accepted theory that they originate from cells that once entered another cell and started to live in symbiosis with it (endosymbiotic theory), see this Wikipedia article

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endosymbiotic_theory:

But the most important answer to end your confusion is that not all cells contain mitochondria. The simpliest organisms, the bacteria, don't contain them. So according to our knowledge, none of the first organisms on the earth contained these organelles, but when different cells started a symbiosis as some of them entered others and continued to live inside of them in a reduced form, this was an advantage to the resulting cell that made it successful in evolution.

This is not a proof that evolution is true, but explains one aspect of it. Here is a good link about evidence for evolution:

Sorry I didn't answer the rest of your questions but I am biologist and I don't have very good knowledge about physics, but I know that space comes from the Big Bang, but I also know there are still many unsolved questions in physics esp. about these questions on the origin of the universe and we don't know what was before the Big Bang as far as I know. About your question about how dust can make the earth, I am not fit in the details of this, but I know that these things are calculated by physicists and it is all well explained and there aren't contradictions. However physics is not my field, but if you have biology questions and you are really interested in this you can e-mail me, because I just tried to reply your questions in short but it is a big subject and I gave just a very short explanation.

Evolution may be true, but it does not explain satisfactorily the origin of life and does not explain at all the origin of the universe. It's a part of the big picture at best. You are still left to wonder where did matter come from. Now where cells come from and the pie number, I have no Idea what are you talking about. When you figure it out we can discuss some more.

Life probably didn't have a single cell as a starting point for EVERYTHING to come from. There were most likely MANY instances where matter went from a condition of non-living into being considered ALIVE all over our planet....the conditions were just perfect for it at one point in time.
Fact is, we're STILL not sure how exactly matter can morph from non-living into living....but there's certainly plenty of fossil evidence around to piss off the creationists with!

Your question is not well worded. Evolution is a fact, many species including humans have evolved that can be easily proven. I think you want a debate on the theory of evolution verses creation(the bible). Only you can answer that, it comes down to what you believe. For me it is hard to look around and see all the wonders and beauty of the world and think that it happened by chance, for me there must be a higher power.

There are no cells inside of a single cell creature .The amoeba for example is a single creature that has no other cells inside of it.

No one is sure how life began but if you look at fossil records you will see that over millions of years, the latter forms of species are very similar to the others but with changes. That implies that they were derived or evolved from their ancestors.

We all came from two cells...one is the egg.

Evolution is the changing of genetic makeup.

We evolve because we are exposed to high radiation from our sun

Viruses evolve...that's why you need new shots every yr.

rather than ask opinions of people in here, which may be wrong. Please go to the science section of your library.

And thank you for asking

ahh joy joy joy, yes you of all people should know that religion relies on simple heart felt answers that dont require deep thinking and what not.
Now to answer the real question, the fact that we have to develop new flu vaccines every year is proof positive of evolution in action, because those little viruses have a genetic makeup that will not stop mutating, and quite rapidly.

You can't prove it like you can a mathematical proof. Evolution explains all the available data. That is the definition of a scientific theory.
