I don't spend time being scared it is a waste. I would rather live until I die. If I died this afternoon I would not have room to complain because I have been blessed with a great life. My hope is that if the US was ever attacked that it will be victorious and will maintain the way of life for our children. The purpose of living is dying and IMO there is a better life waiting. I am not in a hurry to reach the next life but I am not scared of it either.

In Sept 2001, car accidents killed more Americans that terrorism did. Are people afraid to drive?
Better to live the way you want than to life constantly fearing death.

I feel the same as I did before 9/11. Terrorists don't scare me. I'd rather die than for my kids to put up with their extremist bullshit.

I am not afraid for myself because the statistics are slim that an attack would affect me directly. However, I do expect that we will be attacked again and I fear for the people who will be killed, lose loves ones, etc. I fear what it will do for our country as a whole- emotionally and economically.

And here I thought recovering alcoholics were bad, when they jumped onto that old whores bandwagon. Sounds like someone adding a new/old Freudian pigeon-hole.
I figure a lot of things I have learned are learned responses. Objectivity is part of that too.

I do not consider myself in danger, but believe a future attack is unavoidable. I would say that many are just adjusting to this new reality.

Never afraid, and feed good that we are going after those who want to kill us and are killing them! That is much better than waiting to get attacked and ONLY THEN going after them when the damage has been done!
