Sometime in Nov. 2007. Bungie hasn't set a date yet, but all indications point to Nov. 2007.
Halo 1: came out on launch day, which was in Nov.
Halo 2: came out in November
Halo 3: probably November.
November has been good to Halo.

Release Date
A public beta test will be available in Spring 2007, with the full game coming out sometime afterwards in that year.[1] The 2007 release date for Halo 3 hasn't been set yet but there has been a lot of speculation. Bungie might release Halo 3 on the 7/7/07 because of Bungie's obsession with the number 7 but other large companies like Best Buy and Gamestop.com are predicting the November mark (Gamestop states Nov 1, 07[2] and Best Buy states Nov 15, 2007[3]). There have also been a number of websites that are counting down to the date of Halo 3s release. Halo 3 Count Downis a site that is counting down to the days, hours, minutes and seconds until Halo 3 is released. The only thing bungie will say so far about Halo 3's release date is "when its finished".

Actually, halo is suppose to come out some time in November of this year (07) that's what ign.com and gamestop/ebgames.com is saying. but gamestop and eb are taking pre-orders and they will call you when it comes out.

all they have disclosed so far is "when its finished" I think they will push hard to make it released by christmas 07.... but I doubt it, alot of talk is "spring" so probably spring / summer of 08

There is no actual date yet. it's still upcoming. but you can pre-order from best buy.
