Definitely quality ... I have two really good friends and I feel wonderful when I am with them. We have been friends since we were in grade school and have been through pretty well everything together. When I was in high school I made lots of friends but after I graduated it was like they disappeared off the face of the earth...honestly that didn't bother me one bit. I don't think I would be in the place in my life I am now if I had stayed friends with those people. I am very thankful for my two awesome friends that love me for who I am not what I am.

Quality in a friend is more appreciated and likable. I would rather have few friends but always know in my heart that they would stand beside me and never let me down. If i needed something my friends would drop anything and come running! That's why quality is better than quantity!!

I've always had just one or two great friends and the rest are just aquaintances. Also what woud be the point in having meaningless friends? If they are meaningless why would you want to have anything to do with them?

2-3 great friends because 50 meaningless friends... they'd probably use you rather than help you
