Okay, I have an old computer that was pieced together, but worked great. It has a dial up modem that was added to it. However, my newer used computer I purchased, only has a ethernet connection. I want to take the dial up modem out of the older computer and place in the newer one. Does it need to go into a specific slot? Or any vacant slot on the back? Any other tips would be helpful. What would be my next steps?? Thanks.

Well it is easy
first open you computer case and take out the dial up modem

open your new computer case and put the modem in the same place you took it from the old computer

run the computer it will say that it found new hardware or something like that if you have CD that came with the modem then put it in the new computer and install it

if you don't search on the net for the modem drive

if you don't know how to plug it on your new computer or had problems i advice you to take it to any computer expert just to make sure you don't mess it up :)

hope this help
