I live in a city of about 45,000 people, we're not really big. I'm a college student, I would be living by myself, so I don't need a lot of room, I was just wondering what the cheapest price I could expect to pay would be.

I'd try to rent a studio since they are cheaper. There is no actual bedroom, just a place to sleep. They can be as cheap as $250 monthly if you don't expect much. Why not find a roomate and rent something bigger and share the expenses? It is common for college students.
