If you've had an e mail from nigeria regarding this bank or anything to do with it, probably not.

As others have stated if you recieved a check or an email, it is likely that this is not a real deal option. The thing is on the check the bank may actually be real, but the routing numbers may go to a different bank entirely. This causes someone to think that the check is good and to take it in for deposit. When they send it to the bank that bank sends it back and then they may try to send it to the bank where the routing number leads to. There is just too much question on this, I would take it to a bank that can verify the bank name and rounting number match and are legitamate and if they are I would deposit it but ask that it is placed on a hold in order for them to send it out and recieve notice that it has cleared before you take any monies off of it.

It sounds like you have been contacted by a Nigerian scammer. Everyone should know by now that these are schemes to get into your bank account and steal your money. Go to Snopes.com for more info on Nigerian scams. Delete any emails you get from strangers offering to share money with you or telling you that you won a lottery that you never entered. Use your head.

Let me guess, they sent you an email and you think they might be legit...come on! No way! You never get something for nothing.
