I think the best tactic that's ever been used on me (my sister and brother in-law put me down as a personal reference on their car loan) is a person calling saying that they were old very good friends with my sister and that they were trying to get back in touch, it was a joke because my sister and I are very close and we shared friends so I new it wasn't true!

They're not as bad as the tactics used by people who owe the money and don't pay.

Why does that look unlawful? in the journey that they could call you, then they call you from as many states as they decide on. in case you tell them, in writing, via qualified mail, go back receipt requested, to resign calling you on the phone, and to speak with you in hardship-free words in writing, then they ought to conform. that is prohibited for them to call via telephone once you tell them to resign calling via telephone. till you do this, they could call from a million, 2, or 50 states.

Don't know I've always paid for anything I owe and I don't buy anything on credit.
