I'm proud to be called a Brit only an idiot would use it as an insult but I see what you mean, You can say black now and you're suddenly a racist!

What in the heck is offensive about being called a Brit? Get offended by Limey, but Brit is the same as Yankee, and that's our biggest baseball team for crying out loud.

Me too! I hate being called a Brit, because the way things are going in the UK, it's no longer something to be proud of. Running along behind a US president who probably wasn't legally elected in the first place. Thinking they could conquer Afghanistan when Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, Russia, the British Raj, the Soviet Union had already failed. Invading Iraq on a whim.
No thanks, I find it increasingly embarrassing! And, living abroad, it feels increasingly offensive. I'm a European - now wouldn't that be a nice concept?

Paki has been used as an insult as soon as the first Asian stepped onto our shore while Brit is often used as a positive term. Find something else to whine about.

its because people like you use the word paki... it has ever been fine and this is a stupid argument. our kings and queens used to call us brits... and they used the term lovingly... only ignorant white people ever use the word paki- and it is a word of hate!

It's all getting out of hand now and every one is jumping on the band waggon,,pure ignorance,yes i agree there's no need for it, but everybody has to be so careful what they say and do,so not to offend,,I've had enougth of it all..

Ya i agree with you totally. Calling them paky's is racist, whereas calling me a paddy (im irish) isn't considered such a big deal!
