Watch what you eat the night before, or for several nights before. Dont eat past 7pm. Dont eat salty foods EVER. Drink lots fo water during the day. Exercise regularly. Eat more fruits and vegis, less carbs but dont go over-board about it or get stressed out. Cut back on starches and milk, dairy foods. Do all of that, and you shoudl be able to wake yourself up quickly after 4 hours of sleep and be wide awake BEFORE coffee and showers. By the way, dont rely on coffee. The accumulative effects of habitual coffee is going to slow you down, not speed you up.

Drink some water...it will get your system going. Also eat a breakfast with some complex carbs, and develop a really good total body stretching routine. It only has to be about 10 minutes long, but it will get your blood flowing and clear your head.
