Dog rash what can i put on it?

my mastiff has a red rash on his belly is there anything i can put on it? my vet is closed due to the weather here and wont be open till monday. its not really bad but it itches him..please help can you use canadryl? or will that make it worse?

Try giving benedryl(1mg per 1 pound of body weight) twice a day to relieve the itching. You'll need to work with your vet to find a cause for the rash. Food allergies often present as belly rashes along with paw chewing and itchy ears. A cool wet cloth may also ease the itch of the rash.Good luck

put peroxide on it dogs hate how it tastes and if they lick it it wont hurt him
