ok, my period used to be irregular, but for the last 5 or 6 months it started around the 10th day of every month.. i had my regular period around the 10th of january, and now for some reason i'm starting to bleed again, though at first its a little pink but then it gets brown.. i dont know if its my period just being irregular, or something else.. i dont think it would be spotting because its not light bleeding or anything.. it seems like the start of a normal period but its brown and pink i dont know what this is, has this happened to anyone else before?

Don't worry! This brown blood is more than likely due to ovulation. The fact that it is brown with a little pink simply means it's old blood. It's OK! I have this same problem almost every month and my Doctor said it's in relation to ovulation and not to worry. Think of it as your body's way of cleaning itself out. However, if it lasts more than 3-5 days or becomes as heavy as a normal period for you, then you should call your doctor.

I did have that happen to me as well until I was around 20 weeks and it was around the time I would have had my period. Its a good thing to get an ultrasound done, but you need a pelvic exam as well just in case your cervix is already opening up (which mine did in my last child). Typically spotting isn't really anything to worry about as long as its not bright red and a lot of it. Its quite possible its just discharge and nothing more then that. Try to relax and not stress about it, that could just make it worse for you. Worrying never got anyone anywhere. Good luck at your ultrasound and I hope everything turns out fine!

I know that at the end of your period, you can have brownish blood come out. I never bleed brown until the last day of my period. Maybe you should go to a doctor to get that checked out to be on the safe side.

It's just old junk, gunk, and blood - totally normal. My periods always start out with brownish blood.

It's just old blood from your previous period... nothing to worry about! Most women get it!
