Objectivity exists beyond the subjective reality. We exist in both of those two realities.
The objective reality is represented by the constant flow of the universe that happens whether we're aware of it or not. An Eastern philosophy might say this is the Tao.
The subjective reality is that which only exists through our individiual and collective awareness. If anything, this is the more ethereal reality, because without the individual and collective consciousness of intelligent beings, it doesn't exist.
I think it's best represented by the question.... If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?

True objectivity cannot exist mainly because of our subjectivity in the area we are trying to be objective.
It is that subjectivity that comes into play when researching a paper and making the notes of things. The mere process of gathering notes, references, etc can be very subjective.
Max Weber in his THE PROTESTANT ETHIC AND THE SPIRIT OF CAPITALISM is a good example. It is purely a subjective book, however, he opened a area which has been studied and amplified upon by such people as Tawney who were far more subjective.

Great question... indeed!
Yes, I agree with your logic totally.
Whatever we claim to be objective is merely on the basis of whether we are having a pre-determined agenda or not.... however, even if there is no pre-determined bias, the bias would still be there since everything we know and do is based on subjective cognition only...... often we mistake it to be objective just because many of us agree on the same thing, but that merely indicates plurality and commonality of subjectivity rather than objectivity.

It can exist. But it takes a lot of practice. For example people who are Mediators, if they are good at what they do they have been able to master this. Because objectivity removes a person from caring one way or the other.

No it does not because it is all filtered through the personal mind of the individual despite ones sincere desire to be objective.

Objectivity exists only in the pure sciences. It is an aim in the applied sciences.
