Most Christians probably don't "attack" gays. The ones who do are usually inflamed by their mullahs, I mean pastors. I'm not sure why the obsession, which is actually very recent. I'm guessing it has to do with a number of scandals (financial, marital, etc) within the different churches and a desperate need to get the spotlight on to someone else. When Germany's economy was in a shambles, the Jews were a handy scapegoat. I think homosexuals are just a convenient scapegoat for Christians. Note that the most vehement diatribes come from the fundamentalists, the ones who claim to hold themselves to the highest standard, and whose most outspoken leaders fall the farthest from that standard.

Easy target.
You can't attack fat people, there's too many of them. Yet in the Bible, gluttony is a sin.
Its all about what is accepted in society.
And homosexuality is still a taboo, even if society has gone some lenghs to accept it.
And I love how the Polyphonic Spree is a band to watch out for.
And how exactly does the Grateful Dead equate to AIDS?

The absolute most ridiculous website I have ever seen.
The 'gay bands' is the funniest thing.
I can't believe they have Cyndi Lauper as an "acceptable and safe" singer....considering she has a huge gay following!
Joke's on them.

Obsession with sex. They don't see the whole just a part. But I must say generalizations are not good, I know Christians who don't attack Gay people, they support, care, and love us. Not for being gay, just for being us.

Those that do do it for a number of reasons
It is their mission to remind us that what we are doing is a sin and we shall burn in hell lest we repent our ways and are saved into heterosexuality
Their interpretation of their version of the Good Book intimates that it is wrong to be gay and so they fall foul to their pride in not being so afflicted - and want to tell us about it
They neglect the part in their version of the Good Book that they should not Judge
They are simply un-Christian
They are sinners - and they want to make themselves feel better by being less sinful that LGBTs

Clarify attack?
Do you mean attack as in talk to and try to convert a sinner? Christians feel it is their duty to point out sin and try to get a sinner to see the problem with the way they are living. Talking or preaching to someone is not an attack.
Or are you referring to the physical attacks we see being done by gays and lesbians who push, punch, kick, spit on, scream and cuss at Christians who are doing what they feel they need to do when they carry sings and preach at pride gathering and the like?

For the same reason gays attack Christians: There believe in their way of life.
According to the bible, Gay sex is a sin. And Christians try to live a life according to the Bible, so they try to convert people to a "God-like" life, as they themselves try to live.
Gays feel attacked because of the guilt they have for leading the life they are. Deep down they know that the lifestyle is wrong. It goes against nature, against everything God intended for us to be.
We were put on this planet to procreate, and gays can not do that naturally. one man, one woman. that is the basis of life, of existence.
If being gay were natural, then there would never be any new births, the human race would cease to exist.
Even a gay person know in their mind that it is wrong, subconsciously, they may not acknowledge it, but the feeling is there. That is why so many people are ashamed of being gay, that why it is so hard for some people to come "out"
I am not attacking anyone here at all. i myself am bi and very sexually active with both sexes. i believe that what I am doing is wrong, I love Christ and one day will repent for my sins and try my best to lead a "godly" life. God love ALL his children, but he hates the sin, that is why he sent his son to die for us.

Christians love to attack gays because of their homosexuality. I guess they're aware of the verse in the Bible about homosexuals, especially the gays not being included in His salvation. I admit I hate gays too. Believe me, you would feel uncomfortable if you know that this guy's in love with you.

A lot of Christianity is primitively obsessed with sexuality. The first covenant from God has his followers cutting off the foreskin of their penises, and his second covenant was brought to us by a virgin from a virgin birth. The Bible is sprinkled with strange sexual rules, regulating everything from menstrual cycles to men without penises, not to mention additional dogma such as celibacy.
