I too use to feel like an idiot for always wanting to run to the ER but seriously what else can you do? I once went 3 times in one week! It's better than sitting home worrying if everything is ok.

Calling your doctor doesn't make you paranoid, it means your paying attention to what's happening to you and your baby. So first off, never think otherwise if you feel you need to talk with your doctor.
I'm around 29 weeks now, and although I feel my baby kicking and still doing flip flops none stop for some time, there have been days, even a full week where I just havn't felt much of anything but little flutters and jabs here and there. (I to tend to make not of how much I feel her moving though, can't help it, even if it's not a real noticable movement I feel her turn and that's enough to count by )By now the baby already knows your routine, which means he'll be sleeping, or awake around certain times in the day. They like movement alot, I'm up on my feet during the day watching my 2 other kids and sometimes I just don't feel my baby moving, it's harder to feel when your moving around because they like it so much they're laying around in your belly enjoying the soft waves of whatever your doing.
It's not uncommon that some days you don't feel them as much as others, or after all the kicking and jabbing and elbowing you've been getting for it to slowly slow down, remember the further along the less room they have, But your at 24 weeks so there should be room enough for a circus act, maybe not, everyones different.
So don't feel foolish, and don't feel guilty for wanting to find out what's going on, really, there's no reason too. Other than your visits to your doctor you are the only one that can tell if something is going on and doesn't feel right. It is your 4th so you pretty much know what should be happening, go with your gut, and don't feel like you have to cover youself with an excuse for wanting to make an extra visit to the docs.
I'd call, with my first, or my second or my third, I don't like to take a chance, and I really honestly don't think the doctor would think I'm nuts either way because again, your the only one that can say what's going on with your own body and what baby is up too.
If your still concerned go ahead and call.
Good Luck, and congrats on number 4!!!

yes, u need to call your doctor..after 20 weeks of pregnancy they advise u to count your babys movements and u should be able to feel your baby way more often then 1-2 times in a few days...it could be ok but there is a chance that if u leave it unnoticed then something could go wrong...Call your doctor today and tell them your situation, chances are they will tell u to monitor the movements and then come in if they arent what is expected...if your baby is moving a lot normally and thenthe pattern of her movements stop and are very subtle and infrequent it could mean the baby is not getting enough oxygen,or you are too busy with other things and u havent been monitoring the movements...
try doing kick counts before calling your doctor..,,,,try lying down of your side or sitting down and focusing only on the kicks right now...time how long it takes to feel 10 kicks, kicks, punches, jabs, twitches, squirms all count as fetal movement and u dont just need to notice full blown kicks...if u feel 10 kicks within 2 hours u should be ok...if u dont feel 10 within 2 hours call your doctor asap...good luck!!!

First, don't panic. Drink a large glass of oj, lie down on the couch, and start counting movements. You should have at least 6 movements within one hour. If not, call the dr. It happened to me and turns out I was dehydrated. Chances are, the baby has been moving all along. It is hard for you to feel movement when you are doing things yourself. That is why they tell you to lie down and count. Good Luck.

You should call your doctor. You can also try this drink a glass of milk or orange juice and then lay down you should feel movement however if you don't it is still nothing to worry about. Many mothers find they do not feel movement for a day or two even three or four.
