It seems like anytime there is any military action by the United States the conservatives necessairly think it's a good thing. They start their mindless rhetoric about "supporting the troops". As if to be against the war means that we are being disrespectful of the people in the military. I have great respect for the people who serve and defend our country, but also realize that we should question if we are doing the right thing by using them in any given situation. Do you conservatives understand this also ?

I have starred this question because it rings of the truth. Mindless rhetoric, misplaced patriotizm, war-mongering, freedom hating (as long as it's not their freedoms), it makes you frankly want to puke.

To be truly supportive of the Military, you would imagine they would want to make sure the brave men and women lives are not as cheap as a barrel of oil, but these people just can't see that.

ok if your are reffering to the current action in Iraq the answer is simple. Yes the consevatives realse the dirrence between supporting the troops and being against the war in principal. Now if you are aginst the military action just because the other part is for it that is politicising the Armed forces and that is not good. However I will stat this about the current action wheather it is right or wrong we are there, we started it so we need to stay and finish it. RIght now that is where we stand. Historicaly if I remeber correcty it was the consevatives that put off joining in WW 1 and WW 2. the the statement of the consevative always veiwing a military action is good is incorrect.

Yes I understand this but as a historian also, I believe most of United States combat is justified. Obviously some things like the U.S Mexican war was wrong, and obviously I wouldn't "support" the cival war, I wish they could have worked it out. But in reality, we are the world biggest super power and most of the time, our conflicts end up helping us and most our allies in the long run. You can't really argue with WW1 and 2 but take Vietnam for instance, While I was mostly against the war because my father died because of Agent Orange exposure, Only lately did I realize how much it affected our economy positively, how? Take a walk around your house and see how much of your nice technology was made in Vietnam. Your probably protest the Iraq war on a computer that was made in Vietnam, Something that your parents may have protested. I wonder what we will say in 20 years about the Iraq war when (hopefully we would be off oil by then) our kids still have allies over in the middle east to supply us with oil if we can keep democracy over in Iraq.

Absolutely..I consider myself conservative..but i feel Republicans or Democrats should have the balls to stand up and object to an unjust war..

The problem is how many liberals are you seeing nowadays calling troops baby killers, murderers or protesting at their funerals..And how many conservatives do you see doing that?..Probably none..
That i think has caused the largest division between parties in this war. Republicans have came off as pro war and support the troops and Democrats get a bad name due to the extreme left in your party.

War is necessary sometimes, in order to keep our Freedoms in tact... In your estimation, why do we have a Military anyways? Didnt they take an oath to Protect, Defend & to Serve their Country? They know before they sign the dotted line that they may have to go to War. Come on, wake up & stop these silly rants and educate yourself on some History..

I notice you directed this question to Conservatives, does that confirm the fact that most Dems are "dodgers" like Bill??

i think of you're dropping it. A instructor would not could make greater advantageous than 45k a three hundred and sixty 5 days. female have the main appropriate to start administration, so there could never be undesirable pregnancies. "sensible layout" isn't a concept maximum conservatives accept as true with, we merely desire evolution to earnings as an evolving concept, not a flat out reality.

Yes, we would be against any war against our allies. We support wars that serve the best interest of our country by either eliminating a threat to us or supporting an ally in threats against them.
I wonder if Liberals would support any war in the modern era.

You are being disrespectful to OUR military by saying you are against the war! Have you ever served your country? War is hell people die. Why would you say we are "using our troops"? Last time I check it was something you volunteered for, it's a job! Just because we want to show our troops that we stand behind them, support & appericate them we are mindless. Sound s like you need to look in the mirror!
