I want to make a nice Valentine's dinner. Something easy and simple but a little romantic (I'm not very good in that area). We've only been dating a few months. I've been searching but I just can't decide on what to do! Got any ideas? I'm not a great cook! Thanks in advance!

Gd for you at least you are taking the effort. Here is a simple idea. Take a trip to Ikea, I go to the one Alexandra Ave. You can pick up a packet of Swedish meatballs, (which is about $14/-) from the freezer. Then if its just the two of you, buy a packet of the meatball sauce (about $2/-). Now you can serve it with pasta or with boiled potatoes. You might also want to get some Mazarines as dessert. You might want to consider some candles for the table or a bowl of water with floating candles and rose petals is also very pretty. Don't forget to look into some drinks, you might want to buy just a bottle of red wine for the night. Good Luck. (You may e-mail me at ngdarlene@hotmail.com if you need more help)

If your not very confident in the area, you have a hope . Depending on your location, They have places who prepare meals for you and depending on your budget you can have an exquisite meal for 2 and all you would have to do is heat and serve. Try Omaha Steaks, or even Outback Steakhouse has curb side. good luck Happy Valentines Day. oh of course when all else fails..foodtv.com

Why don't you invite your bf over and you can both cook together. That is fun! Do something easy, but not too easy. Maybe he can give you some tips on cooking, and you can both have fun working together. Or, spend time with his mom cooking a valentine's dinner and then eat it with your bf. Either way is fun, with the first you spend more time with your bf, with his mom you get points for spending time with her!

Well .... since you said you are not a great cook (yet!!!! -- don't give up!!) .... why don't you find some take out food that would be good? Do you live near some nice place...and does he like anything particular, like Indian food ... or maybe do you live near a steak house.... you could buy a steak and some steakhouse fries and a green salad .... and buy something special to drink, and for dessert...

Peace & Love
