Snitching or bullying?

It amazes me how often bullies act all aggrieved because their victim has "snitched"?

bullying, because it is belittling, scary, embarrassing, and sometimes unrelenting for the victim.
i am a retired elementary school principal. the last 10 years as principal were devoted to slowly, but steadily, bringing the concept of bullying under control. every student and parent understood that bullying, of any sort, would result in one of the following options:
***FIVE days external suspension OR
***two days external suspension with the parent having to come into school for the entire day upon the student's return to school.
the parent would have to sit with their child and accompany him/her wherever he/she went during the course of the day.
with board of education approval and sanctioning, this policy finally worked. keeeing an accurate running record of episodes of bullying, the numbers went down each year. the year i left, there were only two cases of bullying' both involving children who were new to the school.

while tattle tailing (SP?) can be annoying, bullying is - by far - the worse of the two. Snitching can't make someone suidial while bullying most certainly can (and has).

Bullying. Bullies are just jerks. Often, the child bully grows up to be an obnoxious adult bully.
