Is it the actual "best" answer; or the wittiest answer; or the hottest person?

Usually the wittiest, but sometimes I pick yours cuz ur hot, not saying you aren't witty.........

Never the hottest. If the question is of the offhand variety, I might go with wittiest. In some cases no one comes up with a very good answer so you're forced to choose either the one that makes you laugh or the one that you agree with.
Most of the time I'll add a comment indicating why I chose that one, and give credit to the runners up.
If I'm not overly impressed, I usually just say thank you. Or if I'm really really not impressed, I put it to vote.

I reward a best answer to the person that actually ANSWERED the question. I see so many people just standing on their soapbox but not providing an answer the actual question. If all the answers are lame then I go for the wittiest.

I usualy read them all and go by whether or not they really took any time to think about it, or if they are just seeking points. It is easy to say yes or no. Of course, some people only ask questions that require a yes or no answer. I find most of them interesting. It is rather hard to choose a best answer in cases. I have recieved some very good answers, some in the same question area. When that happens, I may look at the best and see who has the least points and give that person the best answer for that question.

Never the hottest person, sometimes the funniest or wittiest answer, but usually the best answer. If there are several best answers I just choose one of them randomly.

I like to pick someone that actually gives me an answer to the question I'm asking...or if it's a poll and surveys type question, then I like to pick someone who did the best at explaining themselves :)

I don't. I used to, but then people started saying me and Lolli were the same person because we awarded each other a best answer on the same day so then I quit and then someone said me and Gummi were the same person because we both didn't award best answers.
