There are several possible reasons for any colour change in the sclera (the white part of your eye). If there is a yellowish tinge, this could indicate liver trouble, causing jaundice. Alternatively you could be a smoker, which also causes yellowing of the eyes. If there is more of a pinkish tone, then this is probably caused by some irritation of the eye, causing the blood vessels to swell. This also happens when people have been crying.

yellow? probably Jaundice
pink? probably conjunctivitis (pinkeye) or irritation
on rare occasions, your skin can become discolored from eating too much of a certain food/food coloring, but not sure if that would be what you're experiencing. Why don't you try Web MD? it is completely free you type in your symptom (i.e. discoloured eye/eyeball) and it will give you a list of possible causes.

There can be a number of different reasons that the whites of your eyes aren't the color they should be. Jaundiced, or yellowed color, my mean there is kidney trouble, redness, can mean a number of things...sickness, allergies.... I have also heard anemia can discolor your eyes. The best thing to do, it go to your doctor and see if they can't give you a correct dx for your eyes.

If they are red, they might be irritated due to allergies or infection. If they are yellow, it's due to liver disease, and is called icterus (not jaundice -- which is when your skin turns yellow). If they are brown, you might be taking amiodarone (if you have a heart condition).

buy "clear eyes" eye drops. it helps clear redness, icheyness, and dryness. so if your eye is not white because of the redness then that is what you need. but if your eyes are off white and you want them to be brighter, i don't know how to do that.
