You need to ask your particular school/college/uni what their grading scheme is.

in my uni:

70% and over - grade A - 1st class degree
60 - 69% - grade B - Upper 2nd class degree
50 - 59% - grade C - Lower 2nd class degree
40 - 49% - grade D - 3rd class degree
less than 40% - fail

It depends on the University and the marking system they use. Most UK Universities use a marking system that maps 50-59% to the 2:2 classification but some don't. The exception I'm most familiar with is the Open University which uses the whole mark range ... so a 1st is 85-100, a 2:1 is 70-84 and a 2:2 is 60-69.

Strictly speaking, many (probably most) UK Universities only use 1st, 2:1, 2:2 etc. as a final degree classification and use letter or other grades for individual assessments or modules.

under no circumstances. that is lots greater person-friendly then you particularly'll think of. What you're able to desire to be attentive to is which you will might desire to write down essays no rely what classification you're taking. English, you write essays, biology you write lab comments, math you write proofs, etc. i'm of course utilising the term essay loosely here, yet that's the long and in need of it. All of that is basically practice so which you've got the skill to write down essays/what no longer later in existence pertaining on your individual analyze. whether you develop right into a prof or a businessman, writing would be an excellent area of your activity and you're able to desire to be sufficient at it. instructors are overly intense of writing now because of the fact in the event that they are no longer, you in basic terms won't get employed given which you does no longer have been taught good. i be attentive to it sucks now, even though it's going to get greater effectual as you get greater effectual. i'm no longer announcing you will relish it, yet hate it much less a minimum of :-P

2:2 is classed as average so I presume it's about 50 per cent. I got an overall 2:2 grade at Uni and it hasn't done me much good. Try harder next semester or end up a loser like me.
