Drink plenty of water, try taking Vitamin C supplements as well, good for your immune system.

Get plenty of rest, or as much as you can anyway.

Also, echinacea is a good vitamin supplement to take during your cold, to possibly lessen the length of time you have to endure this awful cold you say you have. Good luck hun!

The best way to get rid of a cold is to drink lots of fluid because the more fluid you drink, the faster the cold is worked out of your system. Also rest as much as possible. If you have a cold for more than a few weeks it could be allergies so I would consult a Dr.

Colds pretty much have to run their course, but there are things you can do to make it less miserable.

1)Drink hot lemon and honey and hot bouillon. I usually use beef bouillon. The vitamin C will help boost you, the salt will sooth your throat, and the steam will help your nose.
2)Take extra vitamin C. That will help you rebound faster.
3)Use zinc lozenges for your cough. That will also sooth your throat, and if I remember correctly helps boost the immune system.
4)Take Nyquil: It will help you rest.
5) REST.

Feel better!

Take 2000 mg of Vitamin C night and morning with plenty of water. Take some NyQuil at night and it will help dry it out. Be sure to drink plenty of water and eat fruits and vegetables with your protein. You will be fine real soon.

There is no cure, you just have to wait it out.

Cold medicines don't really work that well, it's best just to take a general pain reliever to ease your symptoms.
