i recently downloaded an album which was compressed...i tried to unzip the file but it said i needed a password...this has never happened before. does anyone know why this has happened and if there is any way around it...im a bit of a novice. i jus want my album! lol

does it mention any website name, that is usually the password

It really annoys me when people do this, a lot of the time it is so you have to visit loads of web sites to get the password and they get a couple of pence for each page you visit, sometimes they put a password on there for sun and wont tell you it, to find it out this way you google win rar password cracker which downlooads a brute force attacker which goes through all the options for the password, it takes time thoguh depending on your processor

There are a lot of fake files around at the moment with passwords. You should read the nfo that comes with the file if it tells you to visit sites dont bother delete it.

Check the site that you downloaded from if it was a torrent you may find a reference there to the password
