If your asking a way not to install vista, well just don't install the CD they sent with your dell. Besides Dell charges some money for the upgrade. But if your asking if you can Remove vista, im afraid you going to need a XP Cd or DVD. Format your computera nd install XP

I strongly suggest that you back up whatever files that you want to have on your original computer. The next thing that you have to do is wipe out the hard drive by using what is called the Ultimate Boot CD ISO from the listed source that I have below. This is freeware so you won't have to pay a dime for it and all you have to have is CD-Burner and CD-R. You can check a CD Burner program from download.com. To boot from it, go to the boot menu by pressing F12 when the Dell screen comes up. Then select the CD-ROM Drive and then press whatever button that the menu says to bring up the hard drive tools. Cycle through with the arrow keys until you see the tools where you can wipe the hard drive like Kill Disk or Darik Boot and Nuke. Once you follow all the steps that either programs and wiped the disk, put in your restore disc to restore Windows XP. Reinstall your programs that you want and update everything. That should rap everything up.

ok here that is: provided that could be a Hewitt Packard business enterprise, you does no longer have restoration discs, so good activity. So the alternative may well be to purchase the full version of abode windows XP. the single that asserts " For laptop's with abode windows ninety 5 and until now or No abode windows", no longer the improve. And particular the shops nonetheless sell them. ultimate purchase, Circuit city and workplace Max. (each and all the comparable cost). Do a equipment restoration from the pc itself and placed across it to a clean reveal screen and cargo XP. enable it set up for greater or less an 0.5 an hour. P.S. make sure you flow to HP.Com to make sure your Compaq has the drivers availible to flow to XP given which you will desire them. Your pc now's made for Vista so verify your hardware drivers. or basically have Geek Squad Do it for you.

Why would you want to degrade from Vista? I have a bootleg copy of it on my computer and i like it better then regular xp version? I mean really there is no way to degrade it unless you reinstall your whole system with a fresh xp copy and its devises softwear. Unless some hacker can tell you better and easier trick...lol
