It's our first Valentine's, and I want it to be special. But we're on a limited budget. What would be nice to get/do for him?

If you are intimate, a boudoir photo in Black and White is nice.
Have a friend take a series of pictures of you in something he finds sexy...whether lingerie or one of his shirts and heels, or overalls & nothing else, you get the idea. If you use a digital camera you can take it to a computer or pharmacy and print the best one in Black and White to a 5x7 or 8x10, buy a nice frame at Target or Marshalls and ouila! A thoughtful, beautiful gift.

Go by your local dollar store and get 14 separate small things that remind you of him or that will remind him of you. Wrap each gift separately and put them in a larger box. Take a nice drive on Feb. 13...yes 13th. Tell him that he means so much to you and that he shouldn't have to wait until the 14th. As you drive, hopefully you have a scenic area close, if not no biggy. Let him open up one present every 5 minutes. You can also have a heart cake or just two cup cakes waiting at your house. Take heart cut outs and with string and tacky poster gum hang them from the ceiling.

Basically what I'm doing is that I'm giving him a memory box with some stuff I put together for him. I also made him a really nice card with a heartfelt poem that I wrote. I made him a poem book with pictures I have taken as well. : } I'm doing all this stuff because Valentine's is our first anniversary. â¥

my favorite gift to receive is my wife dressed up in red plastic wrap. it works for me; why not try it for your fiance.
