It's all evolution and that will take care of the things in the course of time. If you carefully see the changes for the last 10 years in the outlook of the people there is visible change towards that change.

A very interesting question. We, as peoples from all over the world, may provide the answer to this. The more we become a global society and interact with one another: satellite TV; the web; films, music; business and cultural exchange, the more outward looking we all become so helping to overcome narrow regionalism. It may even help with cast-ism in that, as more and more Indian people come into contact with other societies that have no caste system, it may become ever more irrelevant to you as a nation. What do you think?

It is not recently possible. This is increasing even after such advancement of education . The youngsters are more susceptible to this. This is due to the politicians and the rowdies are taking into rioting causing law and order representing for dropping the legal action initiated against the person who belongs to their caste and creed. Caste wise and Community wise Associations are emerging in each and every Villages. committed a crime.To avert this awareness should be created among the public and the caste wise nominations for Elections should be strictly avoided.

i think it .......it may take time but it is possible to eradicate the caste sys. and regionalism in India............ it should start frm one's own house. i mean, children r to be taught that everyone's equal. and every INDIAN should follow social just and secularism. i think kids play a vital role coz they r the ones who can be moulded easily. we have to realise that now, the caste system and everything is mere political and nothing other than that. they create many problems and nonsense among the people just for votes!!!!!!!so INDIANS!!!!!! do not be decieted by those tricks and do not vote for a person who tries to divide the country 4 their own benefits.

sure, it's simple. the government needs to enact legislation FORBIDDING the caste system throughout the country. as lincoln did with the emancipation proclamation (freely the slaves), india needs to use this model to eliminate this insidious practice.
