I looked it up and its a worm on the msn thing that sends this to everyone automatically...do you think if I crash the computer and put windows back into it, it will make this stop?

First of all, you don't have to reinstall Windows to fix this problem.
Since you weren't specific in your description, I don't know exactly what worm you're referring to, but the best thing to do is install a good antivirus program and it will get rid of it. Oh, you already have one installed? Well, obviously it isn't updated or it isn't doing its job because it allowed you to get this virus, right? Uninstall that program.
As for a program that WILL work, I HIGHLY sggest using AVG. It's a free program and works wonderfully. Just click here: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/avg-anti-virus-free/lng/us/tpl/v5 , download the free version, install it, update it, run a FULL SCAN and remove anything ti finds and you should be set.

(1) Get you self a good antivirus or a free one .
2) Download and install Windows live messenger (The latest MSN messenger)
(3) Also do an online virus scan to check what other viruses you have in your computer.

Try to kill the worm by antispyware. Or let the msn work and look up in the task manager for any fishy program running. Look it up by search.try deleting it. Look up in registry (command : regedit) and delete the registry entry.
