Started hearing them yesterday and they are "driving my crazy" and not in the old Brittney Spears kind of way.

I went in the attic yesterday and spotted two. One jumped out the attic door into the laundry room and almost gave my wife a heart attic. Before she could get the exterior door open to let it out, it was back up the ladder and into the attic with me. Thanks for the advice.

Investigate to find where they are getting in. Then go to the attic and make sure they are out and close the hole.

Or you can have someone else go the attic. You go outside and act like a nut and when they come out, have the other person close the hole.

Both of my neighbors have had squirrels in their attics recently. I closed holes in the siding on two occasions but they nibbled their way back in. There is danger in this since they can damage your electric wiring thus causing a possible fire. I purchased a trap and have been trapping them (6 in one week). Take them out at least 8 miles and release. I have found that if you go to a nursery you can, in some cases, purchase an item called "Tanglefoot". It is a very sticky substance with the consistency of grease and paint some around the spot where they are eating in. This has deterred them from coming back. I have used this stuff on my bird feeder poles for years. Use a stiff paint brush to coat the area and it would be wise to use gloves you can throw away. Squirrels get it on their feet and they seem to spread the word out to their cousins. It is primarily used in Orchards to paint around trunks of fruit trees to keep insects from climbing into the trees. Costs about $5.00 for a pint container. Give it a try. It has worked for me.....

I had friend with the exact same problem. DO NOT poison them not because I want them to live but if they croak in side a wall and stink like hell you are going to have tear up the wall and it will cost you lots of money. Best solution is to put a cat up their temporarily the mere smell of a cat will scare the nuts out of them and they will leave.
Also if it is safe to do so assassinate their *** in the yard with a laser site mounted pellet gun. If you reduce their population outside there will be less of them in the area after the cat chases them out.

go to a hardware store and buy a squirrel trap and put the recommended bate in it and you can release them in a park after that.

Either:
* place a decoy in their passageways (i.e. an owl or other frightening decoy animal)

or
* spray their passageways (don't forget to pick up pieces of food)
