I am blessed to have a wonderful group of about 7 girlfriends that I hang out with on a regular basis.
As for "close" friends, I'd say I have 4.
1. Best friend since 8th grade
2. Boyfriend of 7 years.
3. Friend from high school (11th grade)
4. Friend from college (3 years ago)
A person can have many aquaintances yet very few "friends".
I get told a lot that I know to many people. That does not mean I have a million friends.
I agree with the saying that if you can count on one hand your true friends, you are blessed.

A true friend is someone that will always be there for you NO MATTER WHAT.. And the same vise versa... It is better than sisters. We fight, we don't agree on everything, we all have our own opinions but we love each other. I am 35 yrs old and I have a lot of friends but only 3 TRUE friends.

Close friends I have a lot. A lot of friends that I know care about me and that I care about but at the same time I'm not a very trusting person. I don't like to trust people and when it really comes down to the line of who I trust I would say that I really only trust about 3 of my friends but even then I don't tell them too much.
