Could there ever be someone who was FOR smoking?
I'm a smoker, I hate smoking with a passion, but alas I am in the 10% for whom Easyway has not worked, yet anyway, I've tried the book, the software and clinics are next – so fingers crossed for me, because I don't want to smoke but I sure as hell don't want the hell of will power methods or overpriced gimmicks like patches or gum.
I am a HUGE supporter of the Easyway school of thought and as such I detest the anti-smoking attitude that keeps getting stronger thanks to propaganda (anti-smoking adverts that make smokers out to be stupid, rather than victims of an addiction that need help, those adverts do nothing but make out smokers are wrong-doers), removing smoker's rights to health care (the attitude of the NHS of 'we won't help you quit, but if you don't quit we'll let you die from cancer') or that smokers choice to smoke is not respected (as long as they are not hurting others, baring in mind it is an addiction so logic not strong).
Congrats on doing so well - just remember quitting smoking is NOT difficult!! What is difficult is de-programming the idea that smoking has to be difficult. Good luck

I have been a smoker since the age of 11. I am now 24.
I want to quit but the cravings are just too much. I do know that once we buy a house, we will not smoke at all in it, so that may help.
Good luck to you! Congrats!

just consider that you have given it up, full stop. If offered you say no thank you, I don't smoke...I remember when I said that for the first time, it really put an end to the whole issue. I stopped for the best possible reason, I was expecting my son...there's just no excuse, one thing is your own body, but how can you possibly damage your own child? I was a heavy smoker, 35 a day but it wasn't that difficult for me either, it's a question of priority.

Good for you. I quit years ago and never looked back. This country should do the same. What is the point in dying of a smoke related illness when it could be prevented.
Remember that smoking is the number one killer of humans in this earth.

Smoking is, in my opinion, a foul practice. The cigarrette smoke is just inimical in every way to one's health. On the other hand, I can't help but feel sorry for the smokers who can't smoke in pubs n stuff... seems a bit unfair. I think it would be better to have properly partioned off areas for smoking and non-smoking.

I'm against smoking. They say the worst non smokers are those who once smoked... yes... I once smoked and quit 3 years ago, when i committed myself totally to exercise and being healthy (10k, half marathons, marathons and triathlons since then), and now i can't understand how i was so stupid to hurt myself in that way... smoking is killing yourself in the worst and slower way of torture ever existed.
Never go back to it, go ahead and do some exercise, you'll feel great and hopefull one day you'll say... "how was I so stupid?"
Good!!!

I have also gave up cigs since september last year. I still have to force myself to keep going. I go to the shops everyday to buy a packet but come out without them. I am not against smoking as my friends smoke, but when they come to visit they smell and that is what keeps me going as I smelt like that not long ago
