It would be great. Home SuperBowl parties would be so much more fun. As it is, everyone with kids (and without) has to worry about getting home at a reasonable hour to start off Monday on the right foot. You spend all Sunday afternoon waiting for "the other shoe to drop" and sometimes the evening's alot of fun, and sometimes it's a big downer.

Yes more people would watch the Superbowl (go to parties, bars, restaurants, etc.) if it were held Saturday evening because they would not have to work the next day. Drinking or not, its nice to sleep in after being out late.

Something else I wish they would do - go back to only one week between the last playoff game and the Superbowl. Two weeks is too long, and the players get "soft".

I doubt it would bring more ppl in the stadium because it only holds so many ppl to start with and is always sold out anyway, but if youre talking about the city its held in. Possibly. I would prefer it to be on a Saturday myself so it wont interfere with monday.

I seriously doubt that the day of the Superbowl has anything whatsoever to do with drawing in people. The game is the important thing, not the say.

Interesting question. I guess it could work but people also need to know that there's a growing movement to make the day after (Monday) a national holiday. If you go to www.superbowlmonday.com you can sign a petition. Here in Indy, all the schools are getting the day off and many businesses.

I have been saying that for years. Only because I am usually hung over on Monday. Would love to have Sunday to recover. I think more people would be more interested. If thats possible.
