Wrestling is done via storylines, aka scripts. This means wrestling is pre-determined. The outcomes are decided long before the show begins. Boxing is athletic compition using gloves. There is no outcome decided before the bout. Wrestling is still very athletic and to do it requires years of physical and mental training. Wrestlers get hurt often with various injuries. While it is scripted, pro wrestlers deal with a lot more injuries than boxing because what they do puts they at a greater risk. In fact, most wrestlers will continue to perform injured. There are many stories of wrestlers not only finishing a match with a serious injury, but continung to perform in the following days and even weeks. Most of the wrestlers are never really 100% percent. They go on with small injuries that would stop most people. They continue well beyond where most of the NBA, NHL, NFL, and MLB stars would have stopped. Is wrestling fake? I guess you could say that. But I really see nothing more real. Those wrestlers put more of themselves out there than many other athletes. That's what makes it real for me.

Boxing is a real sport. There is no script and the two fighters are not actors. The punches and blood are real. WWE or TNA and any other "pro wrestling" federation is fake b/c while the impact from some moves can be real, the "wrestlers" are trained on how to perform and protect each other. The outcome of the match is predetermined and it involves lots of story lines and communication between the two guys in the ring. Boxing matches at times may be predetermined if money has been paid to have someone "throw" the match, but that is not typically how boxing is done.

In boxing the boxers can only use their hands to fight and they wear protective "gloves"
In wrestling the rules are a bit different and there are several techniques, different type of games etc.
People most all of them say wrestling is fake. I am not sure cause I never tried it!

professional wrestling is not "FAKE" it's "SCRIPTED" it has a set outcome with a set storyline but there are hits and chairshots that are real. not all of them but some make contact. a majority of injuries come from it too.
