Did you ever spot someone you wanted to get to know better and then they lit up a cigarette and you suddenly lost interest?

All the time. Smoking makes you smell bad, and turns your teeth yellow. The smoke gets in your clothes, the furniture in your house, the upholstery in your car, and it's impossible to get out.

And if that wasn't enough, I'm allergic to several chemicals in cigarette smoke. Even just walking through a cloud of it will make my breathing noticeably difficult and on two occasions my throat has closed entirely and I've had to be hospitalized after extended exposure.

I have many friends who smoke, including my boyfriend - but they have the courtesy not to smoke around me. IF someone DOES smoke in my vicinity, I should be allowed to vomit on them because it makes me quite nauseous.

Perhaps that sounds harsh, but it's something that not only has adverse effects on the smokers but the people they are smoking around, as well. I've read that France is outlawing smoking in public completely. I applaud that!

not really. what turns me off is all the people who complain about smokers. i am not a smoker, but believe that smoking is an addiction, just like using crack, anorexia, excessive sex, ocd, etc. we can feel empathy for addicts in any area except smokers. they are a silent minority who are being bullied here in the USA.

No, because I used to smoke cigs and currently smoke pot. I'd rather hang out with smokers than uptight pretentious pricks.

What's a real turn-off? Someone who can't handle their alcohol.

All the time, I find it disgusting and unpleasant to be within a few feet of them.
